INDIAN WELLS - Spanish tennis player Paula Bados won the singles at the prestigious WTA Championships in Indian Wells. In the final, 22-time champion Victoria Azarenka beat Belarusian champion Victoria Azarenka twice after a three-hour battle of 7:6 (5), 2:6, 7:6 (2).

Bados enjoyed winning the title on the event’s first launch in the California desert.
