On Thursday, June 24, Florida authorities are on the brink of war to find their traces following the collapse of a building near Miami that killed at least four people (Florida, USA). The 12-story building collapsed
A building on the southern campus of the Champlain Towers on the Surface near Miami Beach collapsed at 1:20 a.m. local time, according to reports. Miami Herald (In English). At a news conference, Ray Jadallah, vice president of Miami-Date County Emergency Services, said twelve floors or 55 apartments in the entire section of the building had collapsed. The building has been inspected since 1981, according to local daily, as part of a safety inspection, 40 years after its construction.
“I was in a deep sleep, heard a loud crash, I mistakenly thought it was an accident and lightning. But it continued, I will say 15-20 minutes.”, Barry Cohen, 63, who lives in the collapsed building, testified. “I am homeless and have lost my papers, clothes, green card and money.”, Eric de Maura, who lived on the tenth floor, was torn between sadness and the joy of being alive: “I saw that building. It was a shock. I’m in so much pain, but I’m glad I’m alive.” This resident now fears a large number: “Everything fell apart. I think the people on my floor were dead.”, He blunted.
159 “without news” officers
Miami-Date County Mayor Daniel Levine Kawa said Friday morning that at least four people have been killed in the disaster. Local authorities are also without news of 159 people. Firefighters and dog units are still on the scene to find the victims in the building’s rubble. Many are missing from Latin America
According to official findings, some of the missing appear to be Latin American nationals. Nearly a third of those now missing after the Surface tragedy are foreigners.

Among the missing are at least nine Argentines, three Uruguayans and six Paraguayans. Foreign Minister Euclides Acevedo confirmed that the sister of the President of Paraguay’s wife and her family are concerned.
