Turin – Slovak tennis player Filip Polašek and Croatian tennis player Ivan Dodig succeeded in the second match of the Champions’ Doubles Championship in Turin. In the green group, he defeated Kevin Krawetz (Germany) and Horia Tekao (Russia) 7:6 (2), 7:5 and defeated the six and set a chance for the semi-finals.

Polachik and Dodigou lost in the first match with Spanish-Argentine duo Marcel Granollers, Horacio Zeballos 4:6, 7:6 (10), 10:6 and on Tuesday they had to win if they wanted to keep the chance to advance. In the first group, both spouses held the service and decided on the secretary.

The second set was also level, but at 5:5 the Slovak-Croatian pair smashed opponents and the win was no longer victorious. Dodig and Polaček were more experienced in the decisive moments of the match, and the Slovak roster, who was the best player on the field, was especially successful.

On Thursday, Polaček and Dodig will play first pair Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic of Croatia, and progression to the semi-finals will secure them victory. The Croats lost to the Granollers with Zeballos 4:6 and 6:7 on Tuesday afternoon (4). The Spanish-Argentine pair had already secured qualification to the semi-finals, with Krawietz and Tecau knocked out.
