Zelensky promised a strong response after his adviser’s car was shot

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised a strong response on Wednesday in response to the shooting at the car of his adviser Serhiy Shevira.

Zelensky posted a photo report as is in New York, where he will address a session of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday evening. Immediately after that he will return to Kiev, he reported to the news portal 112 Ukraine.

Zelensky said in the report that he did not know who was behind the assassination attempt on Scheffer. Whether they are internal or external forces, he does not consider them to be forces. “Because leaving a message to me shooting in the woods at my friend’s car is a weakness. But the answer will be strong. It will not affect the strength of our team, the course I choose with my team … Fighting criminals and large influential financial groups will not affect it in any way. Zelensky said.

Police say the attack appears to have been politically motivated

Ukrainian police said, on Wednesday, that the assassination attempt on Presidential Adviser Volodymyr Zelensky was apparently politically motivated. This was reported by Agence France-Presse.

Ukrainian police chief Ihor Klimenko told reporters that the attempted assassination of Zeleny’s adviser, Serhiy Scheffer, may be related to his work or be part of efforts to pressure the Ukrainian leadership or destabilize politically. Scheffer himself described the act as an attempt to “intimidate” the presidency.
