The UK has a new Brexit negotiator and will replace Truss Frost

On Sunday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the appointment of British Secretary of State Liz Dres as the new chief negotiator with the European Union (EU) after Brexit. This happened after the current Brexit minister, David Frost, resigned from the government.

Truss will have ministerial responsibilities with the EU and will hold talks to resolve issues arising out of the terms of the Brexit agreement on trade with Northern Ireland, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

Resigned after a turbulent week

Frost resigned after a tumultuous week in the ruling Conservative Party. In his resignation letter, he expressed concern over the direction of the government.

“I hope we get to where we need to go quickly: moderate regulation, lower taxes, the business economy and economic transformation at the pinnacle of modern science.” Said the politician.

He also expressed frustration with the Conservative government’s taxation and the growing outbreak of the Govt-19 epidemic.

He was barred from taking action against Govt-19

The Mail on Sunday newspaper, which first reported on the minister’s resignation on Sunday, said Frost’s decision last week prompted the introduction of new epidemic controls.
