The province has opened a grant invitation to support regional development

The Trnava Autonomous Region plans to support regional development in the amount of €500,000. Applications for benefits in the amount of 3 thousand euros and 50 thousand euros can be submitted until November 30, 2021.

Funds from the grant call for regional development are earmarked for public benefit projects. Last year, for example, the reconstruction of the gate of the Dobrovodsk fortress was supported in this way.

“We have already opened the 2022 scheme at the end of 2021, because we are interested in accelerating the process of allocating subsidies and creating more space for the implementation of projects next year,” said Trnava Mayor, Josef Veskobic.

Local business groups, regional tourism organizations, civic associations, associations of legal entities, or non-profit organizations can apply for financial support. The applicant must guarantee the joint financing of the project from its own sources or from other sources in the amount of at least 10% of the total financial costs of the project.

The aim of the call is to support services of general interest and projects, respectively, entrepreneurship and employment in the Trnava region. It also focuses on the development of tourism in the regions or on increasing the attractiveness of national cultural and natural monuments, but also on the development and implementation of applications in the field of improving the quality of life in the regions.

As part of the last call, 19 projects were implemented this year, which were successful in the competition of 112 applications. One of them is the restoration of the entrance to the basilica in aštín-Strážy, which included the restoration of the historical door panel and masonry. A project was also carried out to rebuild the gate of Dobra Voda Castle and to create a gazebo for visitors in its vicinity. With our financial assistance, memorial spaces have been built in the Esterházy manor house in Tomášikov,” added county governor Viskupi.
