A short preview of the new part has been created in Unreal Engine 5.
Polish studio Bloober Team announced that it is working on another sequel to the Layers of Fear series, but did not specify the title or plot of the story. However, at least a brief look at a new part of this classic horror game provided us with an official teaser, which was created in Unreal Engine 5 and shows what the new game will look like.
First look at the new layers of fear:
We won’t learn much from the video, which is clearly referring to the first part, and it’s not certain if it’s a preview of the new game’s story. The painter was the main hero of the unit, so it is possible that the creators in this way only honor the roots of the series and at the same time show the possibilities of the new engine.
The first part of the horror game Layers of Fear was released in 2016 and has been appreciated by the gaming community for an excellent story combined with an excellent atmosphere. The success of this work was followed by a sequel from 2019, which presented players with a new hero as well as a new environment for American Hollywood.
“Layers of Fear was a groundbreaking project for us – it paved the way for the Bloober team and kick-started our rapid growth, allowing us to explore more of the stories we wanted to tell,” said studio head Piotr Babiebo. “I’m really glad we’re coming back into this world smarter and more expertly,” he added in the news.
