The purpose of the draft agreement is to facilitate the mutual provision of logistical support between the two parties.
The Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic plans to sign an agreement with the United States of America on the acquisition and reciprocal provision of services. The goal is to define the basic conditions and procedures. It will replace the Mutual Logistics Support Agreement since 1998. The proposal has been submitted by the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic to an interministerial suspension procedure.

The Agreement applies to the provision of logistical support, supplies and services by the armed forces of one Party to the armed forces of the other Party, either in return for payment of money or the reciprocal provision of logistical support, supplies and services to the other Party.
