Interview: Tom Lowe talks New Orleans and targets Kona

Tom Lowe in action

Tom Lowe, the former British Ironman record holder and elite pro, has returned to the pro scene again for 2012. The supremely accomplished multi-sporter is looking to build on his race results from 2010 and 2011 and break into the top-10 at Kona this year (or better!).

Last weekend he blew away some race-rust to take 3rd at Ironman New Orlean’s 70.3 in a thrilling sprint finish. I caught up with him for an interview about how the race went and what he had to do to reclaim the GB no.1 spot.

Last weekend Hotchkiss notched up a DNF at Ironman San Juan 70.3. Beyond Going Long got in touch to find out what happened.
