Lidbury led pretty much the whole way to take the title in a time of 4:39:05. The other stunning news of note was the performance of British age-grouper, Georgie Rutherford who came 6th overall.
The men’s race headlines will be dominated by the news that Raelert turned up and smashed the field in a time of 3:57:08. The first British male through the line was Jon Hotchkiss, in 14th.
