Slovakia wants to organize the European Under-23 Championship in 2025 and the finals of the English Football League

Bratislava. The Slovak Football Federation (SFZ) has submitted a request to organize the European Under-21 Championship in 2025.

As the federation reported on its official website on Wednesday, it is also running for the UEFA European Conference League (EKL) finals in 2023 or 2024.

The Slovaks should be the opponents of the Slovaks in the fight for the European Under-21 Championship, and UEFA must choose the tournament venue in December.

Infrastructure is really good

“When there are stadiums in regional cities, we will try to organize the European Under-21 Championship. And when the national football stadium is complete, we will organize the European Super Cup.

These are challenges for us. We are trying to find space between European countries, which UEFA appreciates.

In 2013 the European Under-17 Championship was held in our country, and in 2016 the European Under-19 Championship was held here,” SF Kováčik, President of SFZ, said in 2018.

Now these visions can take on real features. Stadiums in major cities are gradually being renovated as part of the Free Zone’s infrastructure development projects, and the Free Zone has applied for the European Under-21 Championship in 2025 and the European Conference League Finals in 2023 or 2024.

“This is another step that we decided to take in 2010, when the goal was adopted that every two years we would try to hold a significant event in Slovakia.

The infrastructure we have now is also suitable to host the European Under-21 Championships, so we consider our candidacy a logical step.”

Slovakia has already organized three tournaments

Twenty-unit elite selections were introduced under the Tatras as early as the 2000s, and the Slovak authorities ranked fourth.

In Bratislava, Trnava and Trenčín, eight teams are battling for the overall victory, and the Italians finished first.

Now 16 teams will compete for the title of European Champion. The representations are competing in the playoffs, which will begin in September 2023, for 15 vacancies.

In addition to the European Under-21 Championship, Slovakia organized two additional European Championships.

In 2013, the best U-17 teams received Dubnica nad Vahom, Jelena, Zlaté Moravesi and Nitra, and the Russian players became European champions.

Three years later, Senec, Zlaté Moravessi, Seneca and Megafa hosted the best under-19 footballers, and the French won gold medals.

Another important tournament will be held in Slovakia next year, where fans can look forward to the best European teams in the U-19 category.
