The Park of Culture and Leisure (PKO) in Prešov, in cooperation with the unofficial initiative Sekčov, is preparing the StreetART Festival Sekčov.
On Saturday, September 25, the artists will gradually transform the unattractive space of the tunnel near the Exnárov cultural facility into a work of art – a mural.

The artists will start preparations from the morning, and the event will also include an afternoon performance by Diridon and interesting stories from people from Sekčov. TASR was informed of this by Executive Assistant to PKO Director Patrícia Nagyová.
According to her, the goal of the event is not only to beautify the subway and walls of the cultural facility, but also to inspire local residents to become interested in the environment in which they live.
“I am very happy that there are so many proactive people from Sekčov who want to proactively contribute to the development of culture in our city. The environment in Sekčov mainly depends on the local people who live there. At PKO, we will certainly be happy to assist them in their efforts,” said PKO director Barbora Rosikova.
More news from Prešov:
“As a senior in Sekčovčan, I know that life in residential real estate has changed materially for the better over the years. The residents of Sekčians have more beautifully furnished apartments, more modern cars, huge shopping centers have grown here, there is a parish, cafes and shops. I still miss something What.. the human closeness that was between people who moved into their apartments and tried to establish relations with each other. This compromise lacks soul.” Emphasis on a member of the informal Sekčov Initiative, Daniel Rosin.
The said cultural facility is likely to be a cultural center and officially belongs to the PKO.
Nowadays, Diridonka from Prešov mainly uses the building to practice choreography. The event will take place in basic mode. In the event of an unfavorable epidemiological situation, the organizers reserve the right to change the program or possibly postpone the event to a later date.
