Samsung TV Plus expands to 12 countries with more than 740 channels worldwide

The service continues to evolve with new partnerships and content

Samsung Electronics announced that Samsung TV Plus,1 Samsung’s free Smart TV video service, which provides instant access to news, sports, entertainment, and more, has expanded to 12 countries and 742 channels worldwide, giving access to more than 60 million Samsung Smart TVs.

Since its launch in 2015, Samsung TV Plus has become one of the most popular online streaming services. TV Plus is integrated into the Samsung Smart TV platform and is 100% free, no subscription or credit card required. This service has been pre-installed on Samsung Smart TVs since 2016 and was recently launched on select Samsung Galaxy devices.2 In the US, it’s easy to watch live and on-demand TV anytime, anywhere.

TV Plus now works with nearly 300 of the world’s leading broadcast networks, content platforms and digital creators to provide Samsung Smart TV owners with a great home viewing experience. With the new expansion, Samsung continues to add world-class channels and content familiar to TV viewers.

Recent platform extensions have increased the overall market presence to 12 with new additions, including Australia and Brazil; Current markets include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Korea.

In 2021, Samsung will continue to expand TV Plus to other markets, with plans to launch in Mexico, India, Sweden and other European countries. Samsung Galaxy users can expect more features and devices in the coming months.

Earlier this month, the Samsung Consumer Technology Association awarded 44 new product and service innovations, with TV Plus winning the CES 2021 Innovation Award.
