David McNamee joins BMC-Etixx
David McNamee is the new face in the team and will join the BMC-Etixx Pro Triathlon Team powered by Uplace from next season onwards.
David is a former Team GB athlete and only recently made the transition to long distance triathlon. He had a great season in his first year at the Ironman distance, winning Ironman UK and finishing 11th in his debut at the World Championship in Hawaii (fastest marathon time).
Georgie Rutherford on the start line for Ironman Western Australia
Brit Georgie Rutherford is the sole British pro starter at this weekends forthcoming Ironman Western Australia, and she faces stiff opposition from the likes of Sarah Piampiano and Yvonne Van Vlerken.

IRONMAN announced today that after careful consideration and discussion, the au Insurance IRONMAN® Japan triathlon in Hokkaido will be discontinued.
The Road to Kona 2016 - November update
Starting on August 30, 2015, professional athletes began earning points for Kona Qualifying correlating to their finish position. The top 50 male pros in the KPR and the top 35 women pros (excluding AQ Champions slots) at the end of each qualifying year will qualify to race in Kona.
Here’s the updated tables and British and Irish positions after November’s races. Please note this excludes the recent game-changer at Ironman Cozumel.
Corinne Abraham wins Ironman Cozumel
Leanda Cave second in Mexico
Corinne Abraham picked up a huge win in Mexico. Abraham took home the title in 9:06:40 ahead of a resurgent Leanda Cave (9:13:29) and third place Camilla Pedersen (9:14:08).
Emma-Kate Lidbury also scored a solid 5th place in what was only her second Ironman in a class field.
Jodie Swallow 2nd at Challenge Laguna Phuket
Jodie Swallow stepped onto the 2nd podium perch at Challenge Laguna Phuket, after 4:23:25 of racing. Swallow finished behind the 2015 champion from Switzerland, Simone Braendli (4:22:42) but ahead of the Czech Radka Vodickova 4:30:50.
