Challenge Henley
Challenge Henley-on-Thames is located on the famous regatta course on the River
Thames. The bike course goes through the picturesque (and rolling) Chilterns before returning to Henley for a low key run through the town and surrounding villages.
Managed on behalf of Challenge by Just Racing, this is a high quality event for both pro’s (big prize money) and age groupers.
For me the big pluses are closed roads and locality to London but there is really something for everyone at this race.
Quick Facts
- The swim is out and back from Henley Business School. In 2011 it was warmer getting in than standing at the banks!
- The bike consists of 5,900 feet of climbing – each lap is made of 38 miles
- 4-lap run around Henley, Remenham and Aston.
- There is a half distance at the same time.
