Inaugural Challenge Maceió sells out
Challenge Maceio, Challenge Family’s second race in Brazil launched in December has sold out in under a month. The beautiful course at Pajuçara Beach will host over 1,300 athletes over the half distance as well as 600 women for Challenge Women and 100 children for Junior Challenge from all over the world in August 23rd during the 4 days event
With a flat and fast course, Challenge Maceió is considered another record breaker race of the world. At the end of the Brazilian winter season, calm and clear water is expected, the flat fast lane of the highway for a fast bike course and a half marathon along the spectacular coastline.
With great options for the entire family, nature has been generous with this part of Brazil featuring idyllic beaches, considered by Travel & Leisure Magazine as the most beautiful secret beaches in the world.
The race offer everything you would expect: swimming in a sheltered bay by reefs, with warm, green and transparent water. Coming out of water, a highway running along the beach, crossing farms of coconut trees and beautiful rivers on the cycling course. On the run course, the athlete will enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the city, crossing the beaches Pajuçara, Ponta Verde and Jatiúca , partly under the shade of a coconut grove and will get support from the crowd in front of main hotels of the city.
