Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a televised speech today that he has information about the imminent coup in Ukraine with the participation of Russia.

On the current tensions on the Ukraine-Russia border, he said that Kiev is fully prepared for possible Moscow’s aggression. The Kremlin has denied any allegations of the alleged coup.

A revolution is expected

“We are facing great challenges not only from the Russian Federation … but also from great internal challenges. I was informed that a coup d’etat will take place in our country from the 1st to the 2nd of December.” Reuters quoted green.

Zelensky noted that some Russian officials, as well as Rinat Akhmetov, the richest Ukrainian and influential oligarch, should be involved in the preparations for the coup.

Zelensky drew the conclusion that they wanted to overthrow him, on the basis of an audio interview, in which the plan for a coup allegedly discussed in Ukraine representatives of Russia and Ukraine.

He did not specify who exactly participated in this interview and who provided him with this audio recording. According to the president, the interview said that “society is ready” for a coup and that “Ahmedov is ready to participate in replacing the current president.”

Russia is concentrating its forces near the Ukrainian border. Therefore, Ukraine, the United States and NATO express their fears of a possible Russian attack, which the Kremlin rejects and warns against Ukrainian provocations. Kiev has conducted a series of military exercises in recent days.

“We are in complete control of our borders and are fully prepared for any escalation,” he added. Zelensky said, adding that the reason for the current war rhetoric is mainly Moscow’s attempt to intimidate Kiev. “We have to rely on ourselves, on our strong army.” added.

The Ukrainian president gave a speech on television marking half of his five-year term as head of state. He said he had not yet decided whether he would run for a second term.

On the issue of “eliminating the catastrophe”, Ukraine said, it was at the beginning of a major operation and a “great war”. He said that big Ukrainian business is respected, but business should not be influenced by the media or politicians.

It is the fight against corruption and the deprivation of the oligarchy of political power that makes the International Monetary Fund conditional on providing additional loans to Ukraine.

Zelensky commented on a series of political and economic issues. He confirmed, among other things, that he wanted to fulfill his promise to reduce the number of members of Parliament from the current 450 to 300.

He stressed that the possibility of voting in the parliamentary elections on the Internet is being considered, and at the same time ruled out that the president will be elected by deputies in the future. “There are no such plans,” he said.
