The graphics card manufacturer wants to meet the demand with this step.
The semiconductor crisis will be with us for a long time to come, despite the promises of many manufacturers and appraisers. Nvdia is aware of this, too, because they have also felt the crisis firsthand. Due to a shortage of semiconductors, especially in the sector of more advanced technologies, the graphics card manufacturer decided to resume production of a generation of older graphics cards – the RTX 2060, which began production in 2019. But the manufacturer will not produce an exact model from 2019, but It will be called the Founders Edition.
The Nvidia RTX 2060 Founders Edition graphics card will be improved over the original card, so you’ll have up to 12GB of RAM available instead of 6GB of RAM. There was also a slight increase in tempo, and the manufacturer also increased the number of CUDA cores from 1920 to 2176. The improved version is similar in some specifications to the Nvidia RTX 2060 Super graphics card. The original card was sold for an average price of 307 euros. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet announced the price of the updated version, but in this case a slight increase in price compared to the original can be expected.
The official launch of the Nvidia RTX 2060 Founders Edition graphics card is expected on December 7, 2021.
