Global insurance broker Marsh London-based Marsh has appointed Angkor Cocker as UK Digital Asset Head at Financial and Professional (FinPro) Training at JLT Specialty.
In his new role, Cocker will complain to Space Practice Leader Philip Turner and take responsibility for developing new insurance solutions for digital assets such as cryptocurrency.
He will continue to work with the company’s New York-based Digital Asset Risk Transfer (DRT) team, which provides risk transfer solutions to companies operating in sectors such as blockchain, cryptocurrency and digital assets.
Gracker first graduated from Mumbai in Mumbai, India in 2008 and moved to London, where he specializes in digital property insurance as part of the UK space department. During his 13-year career, he has worked with clients in a variety of businesses, including financial institutions and technology companies.
Commenting on Cocker’s appointment, Turner said: “Angkor has been the driving force behind many innovations in the highly specialized digital property insurance market. Our customers will benefit significantly from Angkor’s knowledge as they continue to develop services and solutions that provide the necessary security for companies as they make greater use of opportunities related to digital assets. ”
