Lin’s speech was a huge disappointment

BUDAPEST, Sept 16 (TASR) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has embarked on immigration policy, rather than focusing on protecting Europe’s borders and stopping immigration. In response to Wednesday’s State of the Union report, Gergeli Golias, head of the Hungarian government office, said this in Budapest on Thursday.

According to MTI Guláys, he also criticized the fact that the European Commission is exceeding its powers by interfering with the regulation of child and family protection in EU member states.

The Hungarian government sparked outrage when it passed a law in mid-June that critics said discriminated against sexual minorities. The European Commission, which considers the law in question to be homophobic and discriminatory against the LGBTQI+ community, has initiated legal action against Hungary in the matter.

The head of the government office described von der Leyen’s speech as a great disappointment, adding that the European Commission president had not proposed any solution to stop Europe’s collapse in the world.

“It is unacceptable for the European Commission to talk about a successful solution to the crisis, with only some member states accessing EU resources for reconstruction after the coronavirus pandemic.” Julius emphasized that such a situation distorted competition within the union.

The European Commission will defend human rights at the expense of legal action. This was pointed out, among other things, by the President of the European Commission on Wednesday in her report on the State of the Union, which she presented to the European Parliament (EP) in Strasbourg.

The European Union is committed to assisting the Baltic states in their conflict with Belarus, which is violating human rights and illegal immigration in an attempt to destabilize Europe. However, in the broader context, the union must strengthen the Schengen area and ensure the protection of its external borders. “But here we must have a common voice in managing immigration,” said the President of the European Commission. She pointed out that the new charter on immigration and asylum prepared by her team made it possible to address many cases, but that member states had so far made little progress in this area.
