Bratislava Airport will once again have a direct connection to Dubai.
From October 24, Smartwings will start operating a regular flight from Bratislava to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. This was reported by Matos Hrabowski, a spokesperson for MR Štefánik Airport – Airport Bratislava, as (BTS).

He explained that the line will operate once a week during the winter season, every Sunday. For direct flights, which take about 5.5 hours, Smartwings will deploy a modernized Boeing 737 MAX 8.
According to him, Bratislava Airport will restore direct contact with Dubai after the airline, Flydubai, suspended its operation after the outbreak of the epidemic.
He stressed that this city in the UAE is a very popular and attractive tourist destination. Flights to Dubai also provide passengers with an ideal option to pick up on their way to a wonderful holiday in the islands of the Indian Ocean. The line will also facilitate the journey of Slovaks to the important global exhibition Dubai Expo 2021, which will take place from the beginning of October to the end of March.

Hrabovsky noted that Smart Wings will traditionally operate charter flights to Salalah in Oman (once a week) in the winter from Bratislava.
The spokesperson added that along with Ryanair’s routes to Lanzarote and Copenhagen, this is the third new scheduled route to be added at Bratislava Airport in the winter flight plan.
