If you are dealing or need Traveling to the US Visa, so I assume most of you do, unless you are exempt from the visa requirements. There are several types of visas, and before you travel to the United States, you must decide your destination in the United States and whether you plan to stay in the United States for more than 3 months.
Types of visas to travel to the United States?
1. Non-immigrant visas
What exactly are nonimmigrant visas? We talk about it as for international travelers to the US. The purpose of the trip is often a long walk, a business trip, a medical examination, study, or a short-term trip. Travelers who decide to travel to the United States mainly use this type of visa. Citizens of the Slovak Republic in most cases hold a biometric passport, which is valid for a visa-free program for a maximum period of 90 days of stay.
The Visa Waiver Program also requires an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (ESTA) without a biometric passport. This eTA must be submitted on the official website: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/. ESTA is an electronic form that allows people to travel to the United States on a short-haul trip, often referred to as a tourist or business trip of less than 90 days. This electronic form method allows us that we are not obligated later to apply for a visa.
What are the costs that await you with this type of visa? Expect costs of $14, roughly 12 euros. For foreigners who intend to travel to the United States and do not have visa-free travel, the amount is $140. The ESTA is valid for two years from its approval, and if the passport expires before these two years, the ESTA will also expire.
Since credit cards are a popular payment method, you are allowed to pay with cards such as Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. It is also possible to pay the fee with debit cards bearing the Visa or Mastercard logo. A US non-immigrant visa is a sticker affixed to a passenger’s passport that authorizes him to apply to enter the United States for a period of time. We know different types of e-visas, there are more than 50 types. Each visa has different requirements and we also distinguish them with certain advantages, for example, some allow a foreigner to work or study, but others do not.
2. Immigrant visas
If we talk about an immigrant visa, it defines the obligation of every foreigner who plans to enter the territory of the United States and wants to stay in the territory for long-term permanent residence and it does not matter whether he works in the United States or not. This visa tip is more difficult to obtain compared to nonimmigrant visas. We currently distinguish between 3 ways to obtain immigrant visas. The first way is immigration based on family relationships, immigration based on business relationships or through a lottery, the so-called green card.
If you want to travel to the USA for more than 90 days, we recommend that you use the most advantageous combination of B-1 / B-2 visas, ie. Businessmen and tourists. These visas are valid for 10 years. When you arrive at the airport, you will receive a residence permit from the immigration agent. The total cost is $150 and can be ordered online. These visas can be obtained for a period of 5 years. In 2015, work visas were issued for only two years.
