Exclusive to Xbox Series X/S, it will be possible to play on Xbox One with a Cloud Play console this month

Microsoft has been testing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Cloud Gaming (formerly xCloud) for consoles for some time, but it’s now official Announced that the service will be launched in November. This feature will initially be available for a select “Xbox subgroup” and will then be available to all Game Pass Ultimate subscribers by the end of the year.

What is the big problem with Xbox Cloud Gaming on consoles? Game Pass subscribers will be able to test games without having to download them, but the big advantage is that Xbox One players will now be able to play some Xbox Series X/S exclusives and crossgen games on XSX hardware. Not all Game Pass titles yet support cloud gaming, for example Microsoft Flight Simulator has been left out, but it does open up a number of options for those who still don’t play on Xbox One. Here are more details about the Xbox Cloud game console…

Halo Infinite Team Promises to “Look” for the Grindy Battle Pass

We know you want to find and try Xbox Game Pass games before you install them – and we’re doing that today. You can now quickly discover and try out a wide variety of titles straight from the cloud so you’ll have the title you might want to install – which continues to be the flagship of Xbox consoles. Plus, if you get an invitation from a friend for a game you haven’t downloaded yet, it won’t stop you from joining right now! We created it to make the experience a quick, easy, and great way to discover your next favorite game while freeing up hard drive space for the games you plan to play over and over again.

For Xbox One users, cloud gaming also allows you to play some of the next generation games on the Xbox One you already own. This means that you can now play select games that can currently only be played on Xbox Series X | S, such as Recompile, The Medium, and The Riftbreaker, on your Xbox One with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and cloud gaming. In early 2022, we will continue to support this capability and expand our cloud game library with next-generation games, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator. So turn on the console, find the cloud icon and go to your next favorite game.

what do you think? Are you more likely to enjoy Xbox cloud games now that they are available on your console?
