An apartment of 33 square meters, according to many, is practically uninhabitable. However, Russian architects have shown that everything necessary for a comfortable life can fit into this space, while still looking airy and elegant. They called the project a half-arch apartment, because the half-arch is an important geometric element that characterizes the entire space.
The main task of the architects was to create a functional division of space, suitable for a relatively small and narrow apartment. It was necessary to place all the basic functions here: kitchen, living room, sleeping area, sanitary facilities.

white concrete part
“We designed to architecturally divide this small space into two large volumes. The white color includes an entrance area, a kitchen and a sleeping area. The second beam is concrete and thus looks more visible. The main expressive element of the apartment is a semi-arch, giving the space dynamism and movement. Half the block is part of a white volume. Big. It looks fresh and airy, and the tactile second part is a bit more lively,” Explanation of the creators of an interesting project.
The living room is dominated by a large window and sofa
The white space contrasts with the concrete and glossy design. It perfectly reflects light and visually expands a large area. The matte concrete living room looks clean and simple. It is dominated by a large rugged window and a gray sofa with a white round metal table.
Dining is resolved by a high table with high chairs located next to the sofa – between the living room and the kitchen. The divorce is noteworthy. Across from the kitchen is a sleeping area with pleasantly designed lighting.

Terrazzo, parquet and artwork
In the entrance area, which in addition to the storage space also includes a bathroom and kitchen – a white part of the apartment – there is a floor made of terrazzo tiles. The worktop of the white line is made of wood. At the entrance there is a mirror and a large storage space.
The main room has parquet floors that lead to the sleeping area. Due to the limited budget, furniture (IKEA and Leroi Merlin) was purchased. The only exceptions are custom-made beds. The interior is completed aesthetically by abstract paintings by Dmitry Raspopov and statues of Anastasia Prahova.
