Dakar Rally: Štefan Svitko finished 14th in the seventh stage, remaining in the top 10 overall

Slovakian motorcycle rider Štefan Svitko finished 14th on Sunday in the seventh stage of the 44th Dakar Rally.

He had a gap of 16 minutes and 6 seconds to finish off the stage winner, Jose Ignacio Cornego Flomino of Chile. Argentine Kevin Benavides finished second with a difference of 44 seconds, while Juan Barreda Port of Spain came in third with a difference of 2:51 seconds.

In the overall standings, Svitka took eighth place with a difference of more than 20 minutes. Frenchman Adrien van Beveren moved to the top of the provisional evaluation.
