Cycling World Championships 2021: Mark Cavendish is missing in Great Britain

Bratislava. There are many interesting names in England’s strong lineup in the men’s and women’s mass opener at the upcoming World Road Cycling Championships in Belgium.

The men’s division will feature current Olympic mountain biking champion Tom Pitcock and this year’s scorer and co – holder of the historic record number of stage wins at the Tour de France.

The IPL Man of the Match became world champion from Copenhagen ten years ago and silver from Doha 2016. Before Peter Sagan he had only to bow there.

Luke Rowe, Fred Wright, Jack Stewart, Connor Swift, Ben Swift and Ethan Heider complete the British line-up in one of the highlights of the season.

In the women’s elite competition, 2015 World Champion from Richmond and London 2012 Olympic silver medalist Lizzie Deacon will present. The squad also includes Anna Shockley, Alice Barnes, Anna Henderson, Pfeiffer George and Jose Lawton.

“Personally, I’m looking forward to Lizzie and Mark turning their experience and form into a good ending.

The World Road Cycling Championships will be held from September 19 to 26 in Flanders, Belgium. There will also be a Slovak national team led by three-time world champion Peter Sagan.
