Coronavirus: Concentration of coronavirus in wastewater in Hungary is slowly increasing

Tests in Hungary, during the past 24 hours, confirmed infection with a new type of Corona virus in 289 cases.

The MTI National Health Center (NNK) reported Monday that the concentration of coronavirus particles in wastewater in Hungary is slowly but surely rising, citing results of samples taken in the 37th week of the calendar.

Most of the samples taken throughout the country are characterized by stagnation, but in Pécs and Székesfehérvár an increase in concentration was recorded, while in the case of Szolnok samples confirmed a decrease.

According to NNK, the concentration is still low in 13 Hungarian cities and they record a low concentration in nine wastewater sampling points. However, at the national level, the concentration of the coronavirus in these waters is slowly increasing.

Tests in Hungary, during the past 24 hours, confirmed infection with a new type of Corona virus in 289 cases, bringing the number of infected people during the coronavirus pandemic to 818,520. Five patients died at the time of COVID-19, bringing the number of victims of the epidemic to 30,141.

Currently, 7,639 people have been infected in the country. 401 patients were hospitalized, 45 of whom were connected to a lung ventilator.

Nearly 5.9 million people have been vaccinated with the first dose of the Covid vaccine in Hungary, two doses have been given to more than 5.5 million people and the third dose has been given to 626,000 people.
