Corona virus: Britain ready to open field hospitals

The British National Health Service (NHS) reported. In the UK, the number of infections is growing rapidly. This is related to the new Omigron variant.

The British National Health Service (NHS) said on Thursday that the UK was ready to open temporary field hospitals due to an increase in corona virus cases.

The number of people infected with the corona virus, including its omigran variant, is increasing daily, to more than 183,000 on Wednesday alone. The number of patients in hospitals is also growing rapidly, surpassing 10,000 in the UK on Wednesday, the highest since March, AFP reported.

The NHS in the UK has announced that it will begin building field hospitals this week on the premises of eight hospitals in cities such as London, Bristol and Leeds, each accommodating an additional 100 patients. These beds are designed to free up space and staff to treat a large number of corona virus infections for patients recovering from the disease, including those recovering from corona virus Govt-19.

The United Kingdom is one of the worst-hit countries in Europe with 148,089 victims. During the first wave of the epidemic, the government opened large field hospitals in places such as exhibition centers, but they were not widely used. Health Minister Sajid Javed hopes that this time too they will not be fully utilized, but in his words “it is absolutely right that we prepare for all situations and increase capacity”.
