Karl Shaw wins XTERRA Costa Rica

More champions sign up to race Eastbourne Triathlon
Two more champions have signed up to contest the new Eastbourne Triathlon, set for the 12th June 2016.
One of the most recognisable and decorated athletes in the sport will toe the line, in the form of the 7-time world champion Richard Stannard. Stannard, who can also count 2x British Championships, the 2008 British Super Series and 2x Windsor Triathlons on his CV as well as numerous other titles and world records, will look to set the pace early in the swim and push on to challenge for the title.
Also on the start-line will be the Stannard-coached reigning European Aquathlon Champion Hannah Kitchen. Hannah came 6th in the 2015 British Super Series and 3rd at one of the most competitive UK triathlons at Hever Castle Tri. She is recognised as being a top talent domestically and another big challenger for the Eastbourne Triathlon titles.

Thought Sam Gardner had retired? Think again! The UK’s most successful off-road triathlete EVER has made permanent move to New Zealand and is re-energised to race again.

Yvette Grice wins Eastbourne Half Marathon
Yvette Grice showed early season form, battling for the win at the Eastbourne Half Marathon in a time of 1:25:37.
Grice, who holds the course record at this event, usually supports this event as it is her local half marathon and was once again standing on top of the podium, despite a strong field of women that included eventual second placed Tina Oldershaw.
The Eastbourne Half Marathon forms part of Grice’ early season plans as she prepares to take on Challenge Venice and the Eastbourne Triathlon later in the season.
Kim Morrison wins Ironman 70.3 Buenos Aires
Kim Morrison sealed victory from her first pro start at Ironman 70.3 Buenos Aires, crossing the line in 4:20:43, ahead of Dede Griesbauher (4:20:53) and local athlete Ariane Monticeli (4:21:28).
Jacqui Slack 2nd at the Australian Cross National Championships 2016
Jacqui Slack picked up silver at the Australian National Cross Triathlon Championships this weekend.
Slack, who started the race as a slim-odds favourite due to her 9 XTERRA World Cup Wins and familiarity with the resort, would cross the line in 2nd place behind the Swiss star Renata Bucher.
Yvette Grice to start at Challenge Venice
Pro Yvette Grice has added the stunning Challenge Venice race to her schedule, with the start slated for the 5th June.
Grice, a former champion or Ironman UK and Challenge Henley will be racing just 7 days later in her hometown race of Eastbourne at the Eastbourne Triathlon (www.eastbournetriathlon.com).
