The British government has decided that most children and young people in the country will not be vaccinated against Govt-19. It decided to do so based on the recommendation of the Joint Vaccine and Immunization Committee (JCVI), which includes experts.
According to him, the health benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks to most people under the age of 18. Vaccination of young people against Govt-19 in the United Kingdom will wait for additional data on its safety.
This is available to some
However, children from the age of 12 with neurological disorders, Down’s syndrome, immunodeficiency and multiple or severe learning disabilities can receive the corona virus vaccine. Vaccines are also available for children living in a home with people with immunodeficiency.
Young people who are eligible for the vaccine will receive the vaccine from the Pfizer / Bioendech consortium, which is licensed only by UK regulators for use by those under 18 years of age.
Release of activities
The decision not to vaccinate most young people is in stark contrast to the practices of many European countries that have chosen to vaccinate children from 12 years of age. France, for example, announced last week that it plans to launch vaccinations in high schools and universities in the fall.
When it became known as “Independence Day”, this announcement removed the remaining epidemic controls in the UK.
The government has decided to relax measures as 88 per cent of the adult population has already received at least one dose of the corona virus vaccine and more than two-thirds have been fully vaccinated. Although the number of infections is increasing rapidly, a higher vaccination rate indicates less severe COVID-19 than previous waves.
