The main square of Bratislava will once again be able to boast of a powerful Christmas tree. Only today (November 2) it was moved from Chrobáková Street in Dúbravka to the city centre.

The tree in the main square measures 15 meters and weighs 2.1 tons.

“It’s a surreal fir from a donor from Dúbravka. The fir grew in the garden, where it broke into the family home, so it had to be removed anyway. There will be more trees

The tree will also be added in Hvizdoslav Square, where this year’s Christmas markets are set to go on sale from November 26 to December 23. Unlike last year, when traditional Christmas kiosks were replaced with flexible food trucks, this time the Old Town is preparing to sell a classic kiosk. However, here it will also depend on the state of the epidemic.

The Christmas atmosphere will be complemented by Christmas lights and a Christmas tree also in front of the historic SND Building. A Christmas tree should also be added on the Rázus Bridge near Propeller.

The Old Town Christmas Markets 2021 event will only take place if Bratislava I – V districts will be inside the COVID vending machine in orange max, i.e. degree of vigilance. The event will be in OTP mode.
