BMW lets you unlock your car with these smartphones

If you have a BMW and one of these supported smartphones, you don’t have to use a key.

The American company Google, with the introduction of the Android operating system in version 12, also introduced a new feature – the digital key. With this feature you can unlock your car remotely. This feature is currently available for the following smartphones: Google Pixel 6, Google Pixel 6 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S21, but at the same time it can be assumed that the search giant will eventually launch the feature on smartphones from other manufacturers.

Ironically, the South Korean company Samsung already has a similar feature built into its smartphones, the more refined models: Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra. However, in this case, the functionality is only supported by Genesis GV60. In addition to turning on the Digital Key, Google will add another automation feature to the Android Auto app, which turns on when connected to a compatible car.

The latest additions to Google Auto will include a new voice search button and an always-on button for easy control of music playback. The company’s plans also included adding a feature for easy messaging with Smart Reply.
