The Cat is Back!
Wins for Catherine Faux and Harry Wiltshire at Ironman Vichy
Two fantastic performances by two fantastic Brits at Ironman Vichy this past weekend, which will put the cat amongst the pigeons for those who may have discounted their threat on the international scene.
For Wiltshire it was a statement that he belonged at the top table of a developing British male scene with his first Ironman win to compliment previous second at Ironman Japan and third at Ironman Malaysia.
For Faux, it was her pro debut and her second appearance (after winning Outlaw Holkham Hall) since completing her medical studies. Faux is a previous Beyond Going Long Triathlete of the Year and a stunning age group world champion. Who remembers her record breaking performance at Kona in 2013, that saw her break the F25-29 record by more than 30 minutes and the all-time age group record by 17 minutes?
With regards to Vichy, the race finished thus below, rewarding both competitors with P-2000 towards Kona 2017 and a delicious $5,000 prize purse.
