Scotland to be hit by heavy rain tonight as Met Office issue yellow weather warning

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for storms and flooding across many parts of Scotland tonight.

Forecasters put the warning in place for large parts of the country until midnight on Friday, July 31.

It comes after temperatures rocketed during the day with many soaking up the sun as lockdown restrictions were eased.

Heavy rain is expected to cause flooding of ‘few homes and businesses’ with bus and train services also affected by the downpoars.
