Nineteen people were killed and six were injured in an explosion at a medical clinic in the north of the Iranian capital, Tehran, the official IRIB news agency reported, citing state officials. The gas leak caused an explosion, Tehran Deputy Governor Hamid Reza Goudarzi said on state television.
A video posted on social media showing several explosions at the site of northern Tehran has surfaced, and another showed firefighters reaching the roof of the building using a ladder.

The fire touched by the explosion was extinguished, Jalal Maleki, a spokesman for the Tehran fire service said on state television. The clinic, which had 25 employees at the time of the explosion, primarily performs light surgeries and medical imaging, Harirchi said.
