ironman 703 south africa logo

A massive weekend of racing beckons in the Ironman 70.3 series. After the entree to 2013 that was Pucon, this week we settle down for our main course.

Ironman 70.3 South Africa hosts a huge pro field that will duke it out over the Sunshine Coast and Wild Coast, attracted by the P-750 and $50,000 on offer. Elsewhere, we have the first WTC championship of the year at Ironman 70.3 Auckland, who host the Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships. This minor title gets somewhat of a boost from the WTC in the form of P-1500 and $75,000. Predictably, a strong Pacific showing will be there but there are one or two Brit’s who can definitely break up the status quo should luck be on their side.

Here’s your weekend preview.
