Targeting the ITU Long Distance Worlds and Ironman UK

Jon Bond is a racer who is dedicated to seeing just how good he can be racing as an age grouper. With a background in road running,  Jon caught the multisport bug in 2011 and picked up some sold results in duathlon and triathlon that included 39th overall at Tristar Estonia. In 2012, Jon made a life changing decision to commit to self-funded full-time training to see what he might be capable of.

In 2012, the hard work paid off and Jon qualified for Las Vegas after coming 20th overall at Ironman 70.3 UK. He also came 3rd at Marshman and some more solid results at triathlons around the country. Now in 2013, Jon hs been selected for the Team GB ITU Long Distance World Championships and I caught up with him for a quick interview on this and other matters.
