IRONMAN EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA ANNOUNCES 2017 TRICLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

IRONMAN, a Wanda Sports Holding company, today announced the expansion of the European Middle East and African Regional TriClub Championship qualifying series from 11 events in 2016 to 17 events in 2017.

The qualifying events will take place throughout Europe, the Middle East, and South Africa and culminate in a TriClub Championship final to take place in the fall of 2017. New for 2017 is a revised format where TriClubs who finish in the top three of their division qualify to compete in the Championship event.

In addition to IRONMAN® 70.3® events, qualifiers now include select full distance IRONMAN, International Triathlon Union World Triathlon Series, and 5i50™ Triathlon Series events, expanding the opportunities for athletes to contribute to their club’s qualification point totals.
