Global QROPS has announced it is to sponsor UK based triathlete, Richard Westover.

Richard, from Tonbridge in Kent, is competing in his third season in triathlon, focussing on middle and long distance racing at major competitions. He has a busy schedule of races for 2014, including the Ironman UK triathlon where he aims to qualify for the Ironman World Championships in October, later this year.

Commenting on his new sponsor, Richard said: ‘The financial support provided by Global QRops is a tremendous boost and gives me the tools and support to be competitive in such prestigious races this year. I hope to compete in two Ironman races this year along with a number of national middle distance (half-iron) races to prepare. The ultimate aim is to qualify for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii and race well there. I qualified in 2013, but did not accept my slot as I was still building up to being competitive. This year, I’ll be ready to race the world’s best in Kona.’

Simon Harvey, director of QROPS said: “Richard is a talented and ambitious athlete and we are proud to be supporting him. He has set himself some challenging targets and we are following his 2014 race schedule with great interest. We have every confidence in him qualifying for a place in the World Championships in Hawaii.”

Global QROPS Limited is a firm of UK Independent Financial Advisers, authorised and regulated by the UK FCA, that specialise in advising anyone who has accrued UK pensions, as to whether they can transfer their funds overseas to a Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Scheme (QROPS).
