Jodie Stimpson banished the disappointment of missing out on the London Olympics with this glorious win on (almost) home soil at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Great Britain won the Mixed Triathlon Relay world title at the ITU World Triathlon Series race in Hamburg. In a nail biting neck-and-neck race, Alistair Brownlee brought the team home for gold just ahead of the French team.
Lucy Hall, Jonathan Brownlee, Vicky Holland and Alistair Brownlee worked exceptionally well together to lift the title for the third time, having previous won in 2011 and 2012.
Olympic champion, Alistair Brownlee, won gold at the ITU World Triathlon Series in Hamburg, his first Series win of the year. Younger brother, Jonathan finished third, demonstrating good form with twelve days until the Commonwealth Games triathlon in Glasgow.
The sixth round of the ITU World Triathlon Series heads for Hamburg this weekend with two exciting city-centre sprint races and the Mixed Relay world title being contested infront of one of the biggest crowds the sport ever sees. Athletes including the Brownlee brothers, Jodie Stimpson and Helen Jenkins will use this as their final preparation race before the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
